Add extra temperature protection to your frozen order with an insulated double-wall box, reflective foil lining, thick insulation, and frozen gel packs. Recommended for customers who may not be home at delivery or who have a longer drive after pickup.
We recommend one Keep Cold Kit for every 20 lb of estimated product weight. If your order can be safely packed using fewer kits, we’ll consolidate it and remove or refund any unnecessary kits before fulfillment.
Keep Cold Kit
The Keep Cold Kit is an upgraded insulated packaging option designed to provide additional temperature protection for frozen meat during delivery or pickup.
It is especially useful when you may not be home to receive your delivery immediately, when your order could be exposed to warm weather, or when you have a longer drive after pickup.

- A heavy-duty, 200 lb-rated double-wall cardboard box
- Thick insulation to slow temperature gain
- A reflective foil-lined interior to reduce radiant heat exposure
- Frozen gel packs to help keep your order colder for longer
How Many Kits Do I Need?
We recommend one Keep Cold Kit for every 20 lb of estimated product weight.
- Up to 22 lb: 1 Keep Cold Kit
- More than 20 lb and up to 40 lb: 2 Keep Cold Kits
- More than 40 lb and up to 60 lb: 3 Keep Cold Kits
This recommendation is based on estimated order weight and helps ensure larger orders receive enough insulated packaging and frozen gel packs.
Whenever practical, we will consolidate your order into fewer boxes. If we determine that your order can be safely packed using fewer Keep Cold Kits than originally purchased, we will remove the unnecessary kit before payment is finalized or refund the difference.
When to Add a Keep Cold Kit
- You may not be home when your delivery arrives
- Your delivery location is warm, sunny, or exposed
- You have a longer drive after pickup
- You want additional temperature protection for your frozen order
How Long Will It Keep Meat Frozen?
In typical conditions, a properly packed Keep Cold Kit may help keep frozen meat protected for approximately 24–48 hours. Actual performance depends on the amount of frozen product in the box, outside temperature, direct sunlight, travel time, and how long the package remains unattended.
Important Information
The Keep Cold Kit provides additional protection but does not guarantee that products will remain completely frozen for a specific period of time. Bring your order indoors or place it into a freezer as soon as reasonably possible.
